Advertising Refugees

Jerry Mannell is the artist who created the cover painting for the The Circus & The Gallows CD jacket. Nina Anthony is one of several photographers whose photos are used in the I Can’t Stop Looking at the Sky album project packaging. Several of Nina’s shots are used—the most predominant one being the shot on the outside cover of the CD 1 jacket. Both Nina and Jerry worked with Bill Price circa 1985 – 1986 at Handley & Miller Advertising—a long-defunct advertising agency in Indianapolis, Indiana.

With the Eye of a Skeptic... cover photograph

The photograph on the cover of the With the Eye of a Skeptic... CD was taken by photographer Chris Day. The gargoyle/monk in the photograph is one of two on either side, high above the main door to an Indianapolis Public Library near the intersection of East Washington and Rural Streets. It is one of the few remaining Carnegie libraries in Indianapolis.
