Waterfall #2

Words and music by Bill Price

Ailing, sort of sailing - changing horses in the middle of my stream
Sinking, I was thinking I was drowning like a dark night's dream
I can hear that distant roar
I can't remember what it was I came here for
Reeling and keeling to a destination unforeseen

Lost, I was tossed like a whitecap throws a paper cup
Bailing I was flailing, I was slipping like a newborn pup
Heart over head, head over heels
Now I know exactly how it feels
Crashing and splashing never knowing which way is up

If you see me, take a photograph
I'll be the blur passing by your wall
I'm up and down and back around and down again - just like a waterfall
Sinking, I was thinking how this call is like a waterfall

Hurtin' I was certain - knowing I was done and gone
For sure it's a blur - another fall I was soon upon
A spin again - a long descent
The bottom's gone - straight and narrow, broke and bent
Treading, I was dreading the mystery that lies beyond

If you see me, take a photograph
I'll be the blur passing by your wall
I'm up and down and back around and down again - just like a waterfall
Sinking, I was thinking how this call is like a waterfall

Now the water must've woken me
I was lying like a raft
Like a revelation soaking me
All I could do was laugh

So I'll go with the flow, where the landlubbers do not dare
On shore it's a bore, 'cause nothing ever goes nowhere
And I can hear that distant roar
Now I know what it was I came here for
Dropping, never stopping - never knowing me to take those stairs

If you see me, take a photograph
I'll be the blur passing by your wall
I'm up, I'm down, I'm back around and down again - Just like a waterfall
Coasting I was boasting how this call is like a waterfall
